Expeditionary reconnaissance force

Marconian Scout Fleet

“Strength is law. We are the law.”

Overview

The Empire's forward eye. Detached from the main armada on Grzak's order, the Scout Fleet follows the arc of the meteorites' long journey — chasing a trail that had been cold for 500 generations — and finds Umara at the end of it.

Violet running lights in cosmic dust — the fleet that arrives before the war does.

Doctrine & history

How it came to be this way

  1. 01

    The order

“Xagger. Take your scout fleet to the indicated coordinates. 100 Slator-class fighters. Investigate and report back. Do not commit your full force.” — Retlor Grzak.

  2. 02

    The disobedience

Though expected to return with intelligence, Xagger chooses to act on his own initiative — seeking conquest, power and personal glory instead of waiting for orders.
