Overview
The original Marconians were once a peaceful race, thousands of generations ago — until the Ancients invaded their homeworld, Marcona. The Ancients enslaved them and forced them to mine dangerous power sources from the asteroids orbiting Marcona's sun. It took several hundred generations for the Marconians to overthrow their captors, and victory came at a steep price: the Ancients destroyed Marcona. The enchained became the conquerors.
Black, red, dark metal. Imperial scale, military formation, dominance, fear.

Doctrine & history
How it came to be this way
- 01
The metals
The Ancients forced the Marconians to mine generons and aderons from the asteroid belt. The metals killed many Marconians during the mining process — the Ancients believed Marconian lives were more expendable than their own.
- 02
Safur
The Ancients carried Meta-energy, which the Marconians referred to as “Safurak” energy, or simply “Safur” for short. The search for Safur was never accomplished, which only drove the Marconians further into obsession.
- 03
The age of conquest
No other race was willing to give up any portion of their planet for the Marconians to settle. Desperation turned into conquest. Anger was never satisfied, and the empire grew stronger. No Marconian remembers the words peace or forgiveness anymore. The legacy of Marcona had been undone.
- 04
Raised for one purpose
They were raised, fed and trained for one sole purpose: to become more powerful than their former enslavers. Yet in doing so they became enslavers themselves, conquering other species and enforcing control across the universe.
