01The premise

A planet hidden from
the rest of the universe.

In one of the Giant Elliptical Galaxies there exists an inhabited planet hidden far from the eyes of outsiders. It is called Umara. For 500 Ancestral generations its people have endured and flourished there, growing to three billion inhabitants, descended from an older race they call The Ancestors.

Almost nothing of that origin survives. An energy in Umara’s atmosphere gave the Ancestors extraordinary telekinetic abilities and lifespans reaching twelve hundred years — and, in exchange, took their memory of where they came from.

One organization was created to hold what was left. The Planetary Security Organization has kept the Ancestral record hidden for 500 generations, forbidden space travel, and made questioning the Ancestors a crime.

Then a gifted seventeen-year-old starts asking anyway — and two meteors change everything.

The name was chosen by Ancestral scientists for reasons that remained unknown, and no one had yet determined what “T.D.” represented. The letter “b” indicated that it was the first and only known habitable planet discovered in that system.

02Recovered from the Archives

Three prophecies

Two were legible on a scorched Ancestral notebook. Scientific curiosity uncovered a third.
  1. I

“Someone has come to change our present to save the future.”

  2. II

“An 'ark' will be built to bring us to the promised land.”

  3. III

“Can Arca'n be… the destruction of our planet?”

Three billion inhabitants on a world hidden behind cosmic dust. They live up to 1,200 years, move objects with their minds, and cannot remember where they came from — because the energy that gave them everything took their history in exchange.

The Empire

The people who remember everything

Once a peaceful race, enslaved on Marcona by the Ancients and forced to mine metals that killed them. They overthrew their captors and lost their world doing it. No Marconian remembers the words peace or forgiveness anymore.

07Weapons & technology

One weapon. Three grips.

Marconian Blazers adapt to the wielder's grip rather than a selector switch. Shield mode is the one that needs both.
  1. Blade Mode

A Blazer held in the hammer-style grip switches to blade mode.

Projects an energy blade — massive on the Retlor's model, close-combat on the compact model.

  2. Blast Mode

A Blazer held like a saber operates in blast mode.

Fires a high-energy plasma blast on the Retlor's model; a concentrated energy blast on the compact model.

  3. Shield Mode

    Pair required

Both Blazers are used together in the hammer-style grip to generate shield mode.

A defensive energy shield forms between each Blazer's blade, capable of withstanding heavy fire. This mode cannot be produced by a single Blazer.

Comparative build

The Retlor’s model is larger, heavier and far more powerful than standard. Xagger’s is a lighter, more compact model — slightly less power, built for speed and dual-wielding.

08The series

Three books

Arc of Mind, Arc of Time and Arc of Destiny — all three written, revised and continuity-checked as one arc.

Book One — Arc of Mind

Arca'n Spectre is a young Umarian who lives on Umara, a planet hidden from the rest of the universe. He longs to leave his home behind and explore the stars — but like all Umarians, he is expected to remain, where space travel has long been forbidden. Exceptionally gifted and possessing extraordinary abilities, Arca'n is unlike anyone else around him. When the discovery of a new resource leads a scientist to question ideas that had always been untouchable, truths begin to surface that threaten the very foundation of Umarian Ancestral belief. Three prophecies will be revealed. And then, one day, two meteors change everything.
